Can anyone help?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone has an old beat up adjustable safety razor that they dont use and can give me?
My father used to shave with one for as long as I can remember, and now that he has past on, I was trying to find a way to continue his memory by also shaving with one.

I'm a "disposable and canned goo" man at the moment, but have found myself drawn to this website more and more. I really like the whole idea of taking shaving back to a simpler time. I hope I dont offend anyone by asking for this as my first post, but after losing my job three months ago, money has become very tight in my household.

I'm not after something gleaming and shiny, just any old beater that I can use to bring me closer to the greatest man in my life. I dont know what type of razor he had, I just know it was adjustable and silver, and openned at the top (butterfly style?)

You are in luck.
I purchased a 'broken slim' from heirkb that was posted here.

It turns out that it wasn't broken, merely adjusted too far up (past the nine and around again to 1). I turned it back down to where it is supposed to be, so all is working with it now. I have been pondering what to do with it, wanting to keep it in the community here. I think the right situation has just arrived. I can let you have it for $10, shipped. (assuming you live in the US).

You can also check out your local thrift stores and garage/yard sales...you might get lucky and 'the hunt' is fun too! Good luck.
