I recently have been pondering whether I should buy my second DE razor, whether I should go for an old or new razor. I received alot of great advice from the B&B forum. I finally decided to go for a Gillette Tech razor, which a few people recommended. I did want to got for a adjustable but after checking my funds, I decided that better wait as I have already spent too much on shaving this month.
So I bought this Gillette tech razor off ebay pretty cheap. I was told by the seller that it is from the 50's. I did a little bit of research and thought this may not be correct as the Gillette logo isn't embossed on the head of the razor. The seller told me that sometimes they were embossed and sometimes they weren't.
It was going for cheap so I though, its not going to be a massive loss if the imformation I received was incorrect, so I bought it.
It arrived this morning and I was eager to try so I gave it a go. I got a really good clean shave, better than my merkur 33c it seems. With no irritation on my neck which is what I have been having problems with, so this razor is a winner for me either way.
Well I will stop blabbing now and go back to my original question. Can anyone determine the age from the pics? and is it a Tech razor? I am very keen to know if anyone can help me with this.
