Brush: Shavemac 20/46 Silvertip 2-Band
Soap: Vitos Red
Razor: Wolfman WR2-SB 1.35* GT
Blade: Personna Red (7)
ASL: Clubman VIBR

A very nice shave.

* I "think" I liked the (shimmed) 1.35 better than the (non shimmed) 1.25…
My shim was a 0.1mm thick Feather blade 19mm wide (1½mm cut off each edge) to match the baseplate and cap width.

Happy shaves guys. :cornut:

Go with it Cal. It's not a rut, it's a flow.
Well, there I was happily flowing along in my rut... then the Postman arrived!

With my latest tiny:

So of course I measured it up then prepared it for this evening's shave:

For size reference here it is with some friends:

Soap: Vitos Red
Razor: 1947 Gillette Flat Bottom Tech GT
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Black (4)
ASL: La Rive Cabana

An excellent shave.

This wee brush is THE BEST... and that's on its first use, so it can only get better!

I've been playing around with different Shavemac hair, knot diameters, and lofts for a while now... working towards the "perfect brush" for me, and at last it's arrived. It has brilliant flow-through (a lather monster), excellent backbone, luxurious tips, an ergonomic handle, and, being the size it is I can reach every nook and cranny easily (not to mention accurately).
Three cheers to Bernd and his team for making the superb

"Kleiner Bayer."

I think this fits, Gents

Sometimes a Tech is all you need. I just might whip out my English Tech for my next shave, with an LHF handle of course.

Man I need a shave

Does yours have a typical Tech baseplate, or is it a "flat bottom" like mine, Doug?

The Flat Bottom Tech is definitely different to any other Tech I've tried. It was one of those magical "love at first shave" jobs.

:eek6: Is there any other way?
Mine has the "Typical" baseplate, but has always been one of my favorite techs. With a shim it shaves just like my GC84-P, but I used it tonight without a shim and still got a nice shave from it.
I have heard a lot of nice talk about the "Flat Bottom" and RFB Techs, I might just start looking around for one.

The best part? It was my first PIF.
