Buying off of German eBay?

Seen a razor on German eBay, has anyone bought from there? I do not speak or read German but I sent him a message. What are the cons to buying from there. I heard someone post something about German shipping but need advice.

I don't use ebay a lot, but when I do, it's the German one, obviously. If I can help with translation, feel free to send a message (or post the link here).

Most Germans speak some English, a lot speak the language pretty decent. It was my first foreign language I learned in school, and then it was required to learn it.
If you need help, let me know - I am German and live in the US since 1996.

living in aust I have to buy of various international ebays all the time.

just message the seller and ask how much/if theyre willing to post to you. some do it no problems, some give you a crazy high shipping cost and some flat out refuse.

there are bargains to be had though!

Two things you need to know - do they post outside Germany (many don't) and will they accept Paypal (again, many don't!). Use this site - http://translation2.paralink.com - to translate with but keep your questions very simple and in direct language - DO NOT use slang or colloquialisms! I use this quite a bit and find the sellers are really pleased that you have at least attempted to reply in their language - not all the world speaks English!

The only problem I could see in bidding on the German eBay is if you were competing for a DE, then Achim would be all over it!

I've purchased a couple of razors from dbay.de and had no problems. the sellers were gracious and accomodating.

of course, your seller may vary.
