Button fly jeans start to make substantially more sense when you have selvege and dont wash after every wear...eventually the button fly stretches a bit and becomes much less hassle.

This! Although the buttons are really never a hassle for me, new jeans or old. Selvedge denim rock!

I like Velcro flys...so when I get excited...everyone knows as they can hear the beast tearing through the velcro
