Buffing/cleaning the top of your pipe

I was going to recommend Arango’s Briar Pipe Wipe but apparently it’s been out of business since 2013, lol. Anyhow, I used to spray it on a handy wipe cloth and keep that in a ziplock bag. When I was done smoking I’d wipe down the entire pipe including mouthpiece. It helped protect the vulcanite from oxidation.

Ok you will probably laugh but I've really not needed to do much with my pipes. I'm bald on top and find what little oil I need comes to hand very quickly and probably in the exact amount really necessary just passing my hand over my head.

Yeah . . . I know . . . nobody is going to want a used pipe from me. I'm ok with this too. The Sally Ann rejects the great used stuff I bring them ... Apparently I use things up pretty well.

No laughing here. I’ve done the old timer trick of rubbing a warm pipe on the sides of my nose to give it a little nose oil shine. Works surprisingly well.
