buffallo strop

I'm looking at a buffallo strop, since Tony is out of business until 2011, and someone nicked my Heirloom Latigo.

Does anyone know if the SRD III buffallo strop works, or if I should just hold out and get another Red Latigo (which does everything I need)?

I have several SRD strops but not the buffalo. Based on my experience with SRD strops in general I would expect nothing but the best from their buffalo.
That being said, I do have a Neil Miller 3" buffalo that is a superb strop.

I have a Neil Miller buffalo 2'5"& I've been using it almost exclusively for over 6 months.
It's a supreme strop!
Neil places buffalo between latigo & horse in draw.

I've got a TM Latigo and an SRD P1, and I'm looking at the Neil Miller strops myself, in either English Bridle or Buffalo.

my SRD Buffalo was very soft and had very cool draw. I would describe it as very consistent and somewhere between latigo and horseside. Can't got wrong with that combination.

I don't care for the SRD Buffalo strop. YMMV but I won't recommend it.
