I agree with the Colonol Conk recommendation. I’ve used both their lime scent and Bay Rum. Fantastic scents and the price is incredible for what you get. Also another vote for Proraso soap in the tub. Some of the slickest stuff on the market (that I’ve tried.)

I bought Handmade Humphrey's Sandalwood and Patchouli Glycerine soap and used a microwave to melt it into my shaving bowl. I just re-melted it to level the soap in it. This works well.

I just ordered 3 pucks of Colonel Conk from that South American River outfit. It should be here by July 25th.

Try the Noble Otter's line of products.
I purchased a tub of their Lonestar scent for $18 from a Central Market outlet.
It generates a nice, slick, creamy lather using my scuttle.
