So I have been doing this turning stuff for just over a year
and about a year ago I made this Maple Handle.

The knot was not set and it sat around for a year . I just did not like it much.
not wanting to waste the wood I have this scrap bucket that I keep all of the handles that
just don't do it for me . There is probably 35 handles in that bucket .
From time to time I take a look at it and see if any new Ideas pop up.
I Really Like This Maple that is amazing to look at in the light so I thought why not
give her a makeover .
What do you Think ?

I think that in one year of turning, you have progressed leaps and bounds. That brush is beautiful. All the edges are sharp where you want them to be, but has an arcing curve that makes it look like it would sit very comfortably in your hand.

Nothing to see here, folks... Move along...

*yoink!*

I need not tell you how amazing the curves are. Very nice!

Thanks Everyone , I found a nice Ebony chunk in the bucket that I forgot about
I can't wait to see what it tells Me what it needs.
will post pics -----Maybe

Gorgeous work, as usual. I love maple, I bet it just pops in the light.

Is that knot a Maggards Black Fiber?

What's wrong with a brush that looks like a chess piece? I'd make an entire shaving brush set that looked like chess pieces if I had the time, I've been an avid player for decades now. A rook brush would be freakin cool!

An entire set of Chess piece brushes... That could be amazing.

The knight would HAVE to be a horse hair brush.
