Brushless creams recommendations

Any good brushless creams out there besides Cremo Cream and KMF?

I use Cremo on a daily basis and sometimes KMF. I just want to add some variety so any suggestions would be helpful.

I recently tried Neutrogena. I had some lying around, never tried, from my pre-DE days. Very definitely brushless, but worked well.

I know Cremo is supposed to be brushless, but I've used a brush with it with good results. I doubt that would work with the Neutrogena.

Never tried KMF, as I don't know any local stores that have it. Can't you use that with a brush?

I spent years using Williams as a shave stick without a brush, just rubbing it on with wet hands. Any soap can do that and mimic a brushless cream. Opens a few more options.

Now that I've switched to a brush I won't go back. But before I knew better I thought the Burt's Bees cream was pretty good.

I have Shiseido Men and I love it.
Very slick close shave.
a bit expensive I think, but definately worth the coin.

King of Shaves makes a couple of quite effective gels (in a tube) that I've used when travelling on short trips (I take a travel brush & cream if I'm going to be away more than a day or two).

I have heard good reviews about Alba brushless creams, Jason's 6 in 1 brushless shave lotion and Aveeno's canned gel (non aerosol I think).:001_cool:

KMF mint is my favorite. I order some from this website:
http://www.swansonvitamins.com/KMF010/ItemDetail?n=0

I got one bottle, then they sent me a $5 off my next purchase so I got 2 more KMF mint shaving creams. Ended up costing only about $4 for each bottle averaging the two orders.

I used to like the Alba/Trader Joes cream but I no longer like it. It seems too much like lotion and not soapy enough. This clubman shave cream is also good but its discontinued now. The smell is very strong as a warning and you may not like it.

I got some Milk cream from SHMBO that worked really well.

I've been meaning to get a brushless cream for traveling and for days that I don't feel like using a brush. They carry Zihr at my local Macy's department store. How does the Zihr brushless cream lather? Hopefully rich and thick. What about the scent? I am a huge fan of C.O. Bigelow premium shave cream and love the fresh barbershop scent. It can be used as a brushless cream, but not rich and thick and much more effective with a brush.

+1.

these gels are nice. The scents are pretty bad, but you can get a nice, comfortable shave.

I've used Proraso (same as the C.O. Bigelow mentioned by walds11) and JM Frasers brushless when in a hurry and they both work very well. Not as nice as all lathered up, but it definitely works. I remember somebody here tried a bunch of good shaving creams brushless and if I remember correctly they all worked well.

:thumbup1: Bigelow is terrific as a brushless cream. I was running late this morning and used it brushless in the shower. If you put a dab in the hand, rub hands together, and add a little water as you rub you can get a very nice thick cushioning lather - just not mounds of it.

In fact, just about any lathering SC can be used brushless with acceptable results.

The Aubrey Organics line is also pretty good for a non lathering cream - you do get a little white paste, as it does contain soap, but it doesn't lather. It actually provides some cushion in addition to being fairly slick (not Cremo slick, but pretty good).

Avoid the Burt's Bees SC. You have been warned.

I tried Bigelow as a brushless cream once. It was not thick enough for my liking. Maybe I used too much water or too little cream?

Anyway, my wife was in Macy's this morning and picked up a tub of ZIRH cream. Pretty pricey at $15 for 3.4oz. The jar is $22.50 for 8.4oz, good bang for the buck, but I hate using cream in a jar. I hear that the brushless creams are thick and slick. That would probably work well with my thick beard. I'll try it in the next few days and report back.
