Believe it or not I was on M P's web site looking at the exact same brush...thanks Joel for this timely review. I have always enjoyed reading what YOU have to say about products we love to use.

I've got two MP's of best badger, not silvertip, and I love them. They are probably not as soft as this one, but they have a nice feel. I think they are a great value and underrated, as well, or maybe just not well-known. One thing I really like about mine is the heft. The handles are weighty, and sit solidly on the counter.
I just ordered one. At 58 Euros ($90) it had better beat my $3 pharmacy brush by a long margin 
I have a DOVO olive wood Silvertip - but - I suspect that this brush is actually made by MP. I have asked an on-line vendor (Vintage Blades LLC) and he speculates they are made by MP. Check out these pics;

Interesting to see Vintage's comments about MP.
I own this brush, and have suspected that it was not made by DOVO, based on comments I had read here. I wrote ClassingShaving.com, where I bought it from. The reply back:
"You are correct that Dovo has another Manufacturer make its brushes.
However we are not sure who makes them but you are probably correct that
Plinsel has made them in the past."
I'd really love to get to the bottom of this DOVO mystery. Simply because I would like to own a few brushes, and want to avoid unknown redundancy.
BTW, while I have only owned two brushes in my life, I am very happy with this one. It is soft, not to floppy. Seems to work well with soaps and creams (though a little easier with creams).

The photos are quite convincing.
I am using an MP 23mm with the horn handle, again for 90 bucks US.
I have upgraded from a vulfix, and I totally fell it was worth the money. Excellent bristles, and the handle is real horn not immitation.
The above review about the bristles is bang on and the review about how it lathers i find equally true.
Well worth the money and to boot, it hasn't lost one hair in three shaves. Sometimes new brushes are apt to that, but that has not been my experience with the brush.

Just wanted to point out that smallflower has this brush for $75 with free shipping right now (nashville knife shop has it for $100). Mine's in the mail, can't wait to try it.
I also own one in olive wood under the Dovo brand; it is a jewel.
Received the brush from smallflower. It is indeed the 93K257, however, it came in a flimsy plastic tube instead of the nice green box that joel has pictured.

Bought this brush after using a Vulfix 1000A for some time, and wow this was something else!
When I opened the package I found a classy cardboadbox with a leatherlook lid, and when I opened it I found the brush lying in a molded satin "bed", just couldn't wait to try my new brush, rushed to the bathroom and started to prepare for a shave.
Filled up my bowl with hot water, and put the brush in to soake, and it did, when I took the brush out the bowl was only half-full (my bowl is 6" wide and 2" deep)
Then it's time to make som lather: Brought out my C&E Nomad soap, and since I'm used to the before mentioned Vulfix, I swiped the brush 7-8 times on the cake, as was needed with the Vulfix to get enough lather for 3-4 passes, from this I got enough lather for atleast 7-8 passes. And when I started to lather up, I realised I had found my brush, what a great feeling!
And the price? Just above twice what I paid for the Vulfix, about 100 USD included shipping.
This is a brush I would recommend to anyone who want a luxurious brush!

I have a 21mm MP and that size is perfect for me. Great brush.
I have the 19mm black-handled version of this brush (099 K 256).
It is my second brush (the first being a really cheap Omega bristle brush). The first thing I noticed about this brush was how soft the silvertip hairs are against my face. But this brush also has more than enough backbone to give me a great result and plenty of creamy lather when I face lather with Mitchells Wool Fat (which is now my go-to soap).
The thing that tops this brush off is the price - it's amazing value for a quality silver tip brush.
I recommend it to all.
