Brush Hair Types?

Just curious but are the only hairs used for brushes badger, boar, horse, and synthetic? Has anyone seen or heard of any other animals or types of hair used to make brushes? Has anyone wondered if human hair would make a good brush? I'm Asian so my hair is pretty course and would probably be similar to a black badger brush...too scritchy!

Haha, had the same thought a couple of days ago Didn't do anything to reasearch this matter though. Hope some knowledgeable veterans dropy by.

There is a micro sized shaving brush around that uses goat hair. It is reported to be extremely soft, like cashmere. If it becomes readily available in the states again, I just might buy it just for the novelty of it. It is way smaller than a Wee Scot.
