Brush for lathering my head

My current head-shaving brush Omega 10051 is beginning to shed a lot. And it's beginning to annoy me. So please help me get a new brush. Requirements:

10 Comfort and softness is not important

20 Needs to be really dense

30 Scritchier the better

40 Boar or badger

50 Budget =< $25

60 GOTO 10

.

You're going to want a much bigger knot than a 620 for your head - head shaver here myself. I like the 876 as well, but it sheds like it was fall, and sees very little use with all my Semogues. You may wand to try the old Omega 48, and trimming the top a little bit. Maybe 5-10mm.

Hey DJ--

I shave my noggin' + I can vouch for the 620, very dense and scritchier than the other Semogues. Right now I'm sold on Semogues.

I've heard others say good things about the Vulfix boar 405 or 514, the Omega 81052 or one of the Muhle "HJM" series. The densest skritchy brush I ever used was an Omega pro. The 620 is probably the scrubbiest.

I'm using one of Tony's Black Badger knot in my new personnel brush.
I'm really liking the firmness.
Your $25 budget is a deal breaker though.

The reason I want to keep the price at about under $25 is because I feel the wear and tear on a brush when lathering my head is great. I've lathered my head with my 2-band CH1 and felt it was getting really beat-up. So I want a brush that I can replace without investing too much cash up front.

An omega professional should work great and at under $15 it fits your budget. (this is the boar I use, and I shave my head as well)
