Omega 10049 arrived today.
I must say I am underwhelmed. Did a palm lather and it lost 8 bristles. After that washed it with liquid soap and it lost another. So that is 9 lost bristles. The Proraso boar (also made by Omega) lost only 2 bristles after 5 or so palm latherings. And their price is the same.
Don't give up on it. I hated mine for years. Now it's one of my favorite. It's also very easy to reknot and get rid of the cheap plastic handle. I put mine in ebonite. Looks and feels great.

Second palm lather today. Lost another 6 bristles. Is this supposed to be really a professional brush as the box says? As I mentioned the Proraso boar is much better in this aspect. I am a face latherer and the 65 mm knot is not the best choice. Many years ago I had a 10048 - it didn't work very well for face lathering, but at least it didn't have this many bristles lost in 2 days of palm lathering.
