Don’t know what kind of hair it is but looks usable after I clean it up.

Been mostly a synthetic brush guy as always worked well for me and cost effective.
However just received a Simpson Duke 2 in best badger. Very very nice brush. Different than synthetics, soft holds water well, and whips up nicely. Best of all, feels great on face for face lather. Not too floppy but very soft. (I don’t like floppy or overly soft brushes). Very happy with it. Still has some badger funk smell on it though. Just thought I’d share. Cheers.

Brad Sears makes incredible brushes, especially if you are fond of large badger knots. I also have a custom made brush with a 26mm 3 band Special knot and just ordered a custom made brush with a 30mm 2 band Select knot. So I will have a Brad Sears brush with one of each knot available.

Picked up this nice Made-Rite 1005 L lucite pure badger brush today. Just a little spa treatment, and it'll be ready to use!

Yes. It is. I was surprised at the short loft of the knot and the hefty weight of the handle. I’ll post more thoughts after I shave with it tomorrow.
