Lots of epic songs and here is one of the best; he wrote the whole thing. It's 18 mins long but you'll wish it was 19.

I seen Maiden on their 'Somewhere On Tour' tour in Vancouver B.C. 1983ish. It was over too fast it seemed... 70 minutes or so.

I've been listening to those early Maiden albums, they're a huge amount of fun.

BD probably made the band what it is though.
