I'm kinda surprised that Willie is still working, Owen. Although Charlie Daniels is still making the casino rounds. He does the one where SWMBO works from time to time. How did it go?

You can hear his voice kinda cracking in that video, but still good. I still have the vinyl of WANTED! THE OUTLAWS from 1976.

This one, although not as vintage, is still pretty good. Ooops, going off the rails here.

His voice isn’t quite what it once was- he’s 86. But you still know it is Willie. And, of course, you know that guitar.

Went up Pike’s Peak, luckily the stepdaughter was driving. I was feeling jittery, and the last 1/3 of the way up I was almost chewing off my skin. Luckily, she had vape pen (Colorado style) in her purse. I may be one of the only people ever to descend Pike’s Peak by going higher.

2)Never had grits and your living in the south? Or do you mean combined with shrimp?

I prefer having seafood near a coast. :)

3) I saw on something the other day there is a "Garden of the Gods" in Illinois as well. Have no idea what it is. Everyone should see the one in Colorado though.

4) Most people survive ascents, unless they get horrible altitude sickness. Unexpected descents while ascending can be fatal though. :)

Glad to hear you had a good trip!

Great trip. Just got back from Wings Over the Rockies museum and a tobacco store where I snagged 4 tins of Pembroke (pics soon). Got it from Edward’s Pipe and Tobacco in Englewood. Prices are decent for B&M.
Welcome to Edward’s Pipe & Tobacco Shop, providing tobacco products in Englewood, CO.

Enjoying a local beer and waiting on a burger. Wife is out shopping with the stepdaughter, so I thought I’d have some fun.

That looks like a nice cigar shop!

Cinderella City was a great mall there in the 80's. Just read that it has closed down. It was the biggest Mall west of the Mississippi and had a Marry-go-round in the basement. It was an upscale place similar to the Galleria in it's prime.

Have you been to Cigar International at The Colony, TX? I don't know about their pipe tobacco, but their cigar sales room, the size of a lot of cigar shops, is a humidor! Nice lounge area as well.

Oh, I never answered your question- I have had shrimp, I have had grits, but never together. It was pretty good. Thought since everything I was doing a bunch of new stuff, may as well have a new (to me) dish.

They had a wide selection of both cigars and pipe tobacco.

Not a newbie, but thought I'd say hi, it's been awhile. Had some issues to work through but hopefully will be back on a more regular basis.

I've been getting more of back to my pipes lately as well. Doing so made me realize how much I enjoy them, and made me wonder why I let enjoying them slide like I did.

I used this little piece of wood found on the beach as tamper today. It was of great help as I didn't have my Czech pipe tool with me. As a reward I am keeping it as backup.

Huge bad news. I just heard that Yves Backstoner no longer make Sea Stars. I was going to get one next year.

Hi all, I just found the forum through one of Larrysson's pipes. Anyhoo, I thought I would join.
Paul makes a great pipe. I commissioned him to make my 50th birthday pipe (the one on the far left). The Birdseye grain is crazy. The two next to it are also Larrysson’s
