Taking advantage of SmokingPipes's current Fourth of July sale: a Peterson Arklow 120 Dublin:
. . . and a tin of G.L. Pease's Horizons tobacco (I couldn't resist the tin art, and the video review of its aroma and flavor sounded great, so . . .):
I'd been considering some vintage GBDs and Orliks on MBSD and Blue Room Briars. But the ones that appealed to me were all so . . . good-looking . . . that I'd feel reluctant to bring a match anywhere near them, as you would hesitate to use a pocket knife on a beautifully refinished table or chest for fear of scratching it. The Arklow looks more rugged, with a vibe of "I'm off to Antarctica and I need a pipe that'll stand up to the trip"!
