I wasn’t happy with the Sputnik on shave 1 in my ATT S2. Tried shave 2 in my 15C - better. Mixed in my top rated BOSC SR soap for shave 3 and hit two pass BBS. Seems like the Sputnik cleans up nicely, might be best with a milder razor and a slick soap.

I mushed some Arko shave soap into a bowl that I use to work up a great lather with a tiny vintage Kent K31 boar brush. Two passes with my Schone nickel OC razor with an Astra Superior blade usually results in a BBS.
Is that a Semogue 2000? Probably my favorite brush.
It’s a Semogue 1250. Which I like a lot. Not a great picture! I need to get a 2000 and try the taller loft.
I have not tried the 1250, but I’m sure it’s great. I have two Semogues, and they’re both excellent brushes!
