Broke my new G-5

This past Monday I got my new G-5 in ivory. It was beautiful. Notice I said was. I always clean everything in the bathroom on Sunday night with scrubbing bubbles. Razor, sink, mirror, bowl, new scuttle, the whole nine yards. While moving it from one side of the sink to rinse it off in the sink, I dropped in the sink now I have about 200 pieces of G-5. But I did save the cork !! What a way to end the weekend.

Those ceramic scuttle are definitely not for butter fingers. However now you can really do it right and buy one from Oskar in Germany.

That's too bad. I've had 2 Georgetown scuttles, the G4 and the G5. I still have the G4, but sold the G5 because to color didn't go with the newly decorated bath, according to SWMBO.

Anyway rather than a new G5 I got a 1.5, in the right color, from Julie at Dirty Bird. Its already been suggested, get the 1.5 from DB, it beats the Georgetown hands down.

Sorry to hear this news. Kind of know how you feel - I dropped my Fatboy on a tile floor a couple of days ago and it is history They are hard to find so I do not know what I will do....keep looking on the Internet. I have a Hamada and Persimmon G5 I wish I could send your way but I have not made enough posts to be able to sell. G5 is nice but I got me a Dirty Bird 1.5 from Julie - no comparison. If you are considering a replacement, please look at the DB 1.5 - one fine scuttle.
