I was at a local store today and saw a product called Sen Sen. It looked sort of foreign and said confection sucrerie. It is a breath freshener from the mid 1890's and is supposed to be "perfume for your breath." It tastes like super strong licorice and like how ivory soap smells. It's actually much better than it sounds, someone said it was lavander and licorice. I just thought I would throw this out there, as it seems in the B&B gentlemanly spirit, of using older tech and exploring ways of the past.
According to the package:
Created in the mid 1890's. Sen-Sen "Throat Ease and Breath Perfume" is the first commercial breath freshener in the USA. Valuable to "Singers and Speakers", Sen-Sen's blend of licorice and rare herbs effectively mask odors from smoke, food or drink.
I am curious to hear if anyone has used this.
