Thanks. I see that the Daily Shaver's Kit comes with the 3.5" handle(along with plates B, C, and D), I just wanted to get a look at it first, those 3.5" handles look pretty good I think. I think I'll be placing my order today!
All this talk of brass and patina makes me want to soak my Karve in Brass Aging solution. The pictures I have seen of them done this way are gorgeous.
The transition from gold-plate to brass to a patchy patina. The bullet tip still has a cardboard blank in the blade bed. The MMOC is mechanically perfect, but has had plenty of use.
This is the picture I was referring to. That Karve is gorgeous. I would only do the top cap and handle and leave the plate standard personally.

As a gentleman who is color vision challenged, the redness of three of these Gillette caps doesn’t quite come through in the photo.

I have a long comb with the gold wash in excellent shape and a Goodwill replated in gold. Most days, I prefer a good brass patina. Bright gold is a nice pick-me-up on the right morning.

That does look good, though I'm easy to please, I really like the look of both shiny polish and darkened patina.This is the picture I was referring to. That Karve is gorgeous. I would only do the top cap and handle and leave the plate standard personally.
Nice! They shave Great IMHO with Feather blades (FHS-10).
In previous lives, all of mine were "loved til the gold wore off," then cast aside until they were found, rescued and brought back into use, so to speak. Before and afters of a Fat Handle Post War Tech, Thick Cap Old Type (cracks stabilized and end cap made from a brass PEX plumbing fitting), New Short Comb and New Long Comb
