Nothing wrong with raw and my Old Type. At some point, I’m going to put some Protectaclear over the brass to limit polishings.

What's Protectaclear?

It is similar to a clear lacquer, but supposedly has much better performance. Jewelers swear by it so I follow their lead.

I’ve learned a lot from jewelers online such as info about plating etc. You can learn a lot about the durability of platings online reading jeweler’s comments. If a certain plate can hold up on a ring, it will definitely be great on a razor in a bathroom.
