Brand new den opportunity

We just moved into a new house yesterday. SWMBO gave me my own sink with a six foot countertop, cabinets, and an 8 foot wall to create my den. She's a professional interior designer, so I'll have to be carefull how I do this, but setting up the new den is gonna be fun. Restraint will have to be the word, and I'm planning how to make everything look organized and tastefull. We'll see how it goes--I have a ton of other things to do before I start on the den--my office, the whole rest of the house, the garage, etc., because right now we are living in a sea of boxes. I'll keep this thread going to show you all how this project comes along. I'm sort of excited about the opportunity. Wish me luck! :001_tt1:

Lucky bastard!!! I would be willing to bet that if you "include" SWMBO into the design of the den and not just make it a testosterone man cave, she might actually help you (budget) in filling all that space with some wonderful "antique decorations" of the wet shaving variety. Just a thought.

Wow. What an opportunity and a supportive LOTH as well, you are doubly blessed! Congratulations on the new new house and enjoy setting up your new den.

Sounds like you shaving AD is going to flare up with all that room. Good Luck at trying not to buy a bunch more shave gear now that you have the room for it all.

WOW! You have a lot of space to work with. Make sure that your design allows you to have enough room to grow when you feed the AD. I guess with 6ft of counter space and 8ft of wall space you won't have any problems.

Wow! That's something every wetshaver would look forward to.

You have probably thought of this, but it'd make sense to store the blades drier than in a vapour filled environment.

Worked on the kitchen, LR, garage, and my office today. SWMBO set up her side of the bathroom, stacked up all of my boxes marked "shave" and said "Go at it." I start tomorrow. Maybe I should take a pic of the "before". Thanks for the encouragement.......and yep.....she's a keeper.

You're lucky. I share a 4 foot sink with my wife and I always have to keep moving her things around so I don't knock them off the sink with my elbows.
