Bowed head?

Help me out, ladies and gents. I purchased a LC New type on the bay knowing the handle was badly cracked. I figured it would be a cheap way to try a New head on another handle. However, it appears to me that the base plate is bowed into a frown shape. Notice how much wider the blade gap is on the ends than in the center.

None of my other heads is like this, so I'm fairly certain this one shouldn't be either. Since I am still relatively new at this, I thought I would seek some input from those of you who have more knowledge and experience before engaging the seller.

Thanks in advance!

It does not look that bad to me. When you install a blade, is there a significant difference in blade gap?

I can see what you mean, though its very slight. Not sure if it would affect the performance, but I'd hesitate to shave with it. I'd get in touch with the seller if you're worried about it.

It doesn't look as if the cap is tightened up against the comb and there is a gap between it and the handle neck. Pull it together and use a straightedge as looks can be deceiving and camera lenses distort lines.

I assure you that the cap is fully tightened. There is some gunk mucking up the view, so I decided to clean it up before proceeding. Worst case is that I'm out $4 and change, so it isn't really worth returning.

i can not see this being a major issue as it does not look that bad. i would suggest trying it out to see how it shaves since it is not that significant of an issue from the photos. Good luck.
