Boots cool colgne shave cream review

This cream is another cream i received in a PIF from Sav in the UK, and what an absolutely fantastic cream it is! The slickest cream ive ever used, matching the top shaving soaps i own in terms of slickness. It needs quite a bit of cream to get a good lather, but because it comes in a 125 ml tube instead of a 75ml, this really isnt a big deal.

Lathering: 6/10, as i said you need more cream than something like Godrej, but at this price point and when you consider that theres more in the tube, it really makes no difference at all. Overall it lathers really well when the correct amount is used, it is definitely a cream that needs very little water.

It contains menthol, however it has very little bite, barely noticeable but definitely there.

Slickness: 10/10, ive never given a cream such a good slickness rating, absolutely fantastic stuff, rivaling even my slickest soaps.

Residual slickness: 8/10, fantastic residual slickness, very rare to find such fantastic residual slickness in a cream, but this cream proves that there are creams out there that have fantastic slickness.

Protection:7/10, perfectly adequate protection, absolutely fantastic stuff.

Price: 10/10, at 2-3 pounds this stuff is unrivalled in terms of price, and if this stuff was available in South Africa, it would easily become one of my most used creams.

Scent: 8/10, a very strong scent for a cream, with a very clean colgne scent.

Overall:the boots cool colgne cream is an absolutely fantastic cream for the price, has incredibly impressive slickness and performs like an absolute champion!

I've tried a few Boots own brand shaving products and some are quite good. The Freshwood AS is very nice, and cheap as chips. The cream, however, I've not seen in my local Boots shop. I'll have to keep an eye out for it, or maybe have a look in a larger branch.

I love the smell of this stuff and its unbeatable on price.

I did find it very thirsty though and had to add a lot of water to it to get the slickness up to scratch - maybe your water is much softer than where I am

I'm a big fan of this cream , and an even bigger fan of BOOTS stick, which is a different formula , and better than , the tub version,,,

finally got round to using this boots cool cologne shaving cream,
i'd say it was average and not much of a scent

would i get it again? not relaly as id be better off with something like palmolive shaving cream for similar price and better performance

I did not know that they even made this anymore. I have tried it years ago and found it quite average.

I can also remember that. I popped into boots on Monday, they seem to have a lot of trendy mens brands, not a lot of traditional shave wear.
No, if you keep an eye on the Boots website you will see the shave stick comes in and out of stock periodically

Sadly no longer available from Boots

Hope you are right and they re-appear online! My local large branch was selling them all off for 44p each as a ‘discontinued item’ in January.

There was a online store advertising the stick, when you then click on the product it directs you to boots and says this product has either been removed or no longer available.
