Booster Aftershaves?

I just saw this brand on WCS. It looks like they have a rich barbershop history, but I've never really heard them mentioned on here (unlike Pinaud, Masters, and Jeris).

Can anyone give any insight (scents, skin conditioning, burn, etc...)?

They have some unique old school scents. However, the splashes are VERY basic - they feel like scented water going on. I only use them when I'm feeling nostalgic. I like the Lilac best. I never bought a full bottle - several year ago a site offered a sampler pack of every scent. I've never gone through an entire bottle and they are pretty small.

I have never tried Booster aftershaves so I cannot offer you any first-hand experience. However, I was interested in their splashes a few months ago but decided against it because the ingredients were almost "too basic". Water, alcohol, fragrance, glycerin, and coloring...I figured that it probably didn't offer much skin conditioning if fragrance was ranked higher than glycerin.

I just wanted to pass on what I found...

I smelled some boosters at the shop the other day. I can't say how it works on the face but out of the bottle they smelled great. I have read that the smell is very light and fades quickly. Some shavers consider that a good thing while others like a lingering scent. out of the ones I smelled. the "mosswood" smelled like vintage yardley with strong lavender notes, the "aquarious" was a mild clubman type scent, and the "polar ice" was on par with aqua velva or perhaps floid blue. I think for 10 bucks a bottle they are worth a look. I am going to share a bottle of "mosswood" with a friend and see how it goes. Let us know if you try any!!!

I have the polar ice. The scent is like floid blue and clubman had a baby. I don't analyze ingredients or concentrations. What I do know is that the skin conditioning is very decent with it and there a decent little sting from the alcohol I guess. For $10, ya can't beat it

I have a few of them in my rotation and they are nice. The fact that the ingredient list is basic is the reason why I bought some in the first place. They don't burn much, work well and smell nice.

The only bit to keep in mind, they don't have menthol. When you see Polar ice, you would expect a ton of menthol but no. It's blue water. I ended up adding peppermint EO to them so they would kick a bit. Other than that, it's a nice product that lasts a long time.

For me, it's between Lilac and Mosswood.

I use the Polar Ice quite regularly due to it's "Barber Shop" scent. I mix a few drops with a dab of Nivea ASB in the palm of my hands and then apply. Works for me!

I was deciding between Jicky and Mosswood when I asked a woman next to me for her opinion. She made a face on both (but less of one for Jicky). I thought they smelled nice, but I put them back on the shelf and came here today to look for opinions on their products.

I have been using Booster products for years. I usually use them through the warmer months. Very basic AS.
