Boar Brush

I broke down today and bought a couple of boar brushes: Omega 100048 and Semogue 2000. I couldn't decide which to choose, so I just bought both of them. From everything that I've read, either of these should do an excellent job. :thumbup1:

I have an Omega 100048 which I liked a lot. However, I found it just a tad long and got a Omega 100083 which is about perfect for me. So that's to say I like the Omegas. Semogue is supposed to be every bit as good. Tell us how you feel about the comparison.

I really love my 48. At first it was just a bit "floppy" and stiff but after a "break in" it is perfect for my tastes. You can really whip up and paint on the lather with a 48. Remember this is my first and only brush so I have limited experience.

Congrats on your new brushes! I've got the 2000. It's my first bore and I've had it for about 2 moths now. It takes a bit to break in and is one stinky piggy when new. I expected this but it surpassed what I was expecting lol. My first thought that it's really big for face lathering but after a few days, it's really not too bad in that area. Great backbone and once the tips split and its broken in, it's a really nice brush.

What, if anything, makes a LIMITED EDITION SEMOGUE shaving brush special? Do they use a higher grade of boar bristle, for example?
