Blutt razor

Hi guys, I am interested in blutt 1.2. But I already have paradigm diamondback ti. I heard these are both mild and efficient razor. What is the difference between them? Should I try it?

The Blutt has a bit more blade feel than the Diamondback. Both are pretty similar in efficiency, I would say, and both are gentle to your skin and easy to get a close shave with - i.e. not fussy with the angle. They are both among the best razors. For my personal taste I enjoy using the Blutt more. I cannot find any fault with the Paradigm and it’s as good as any of the very best razors, but I’d just like to feel it a bit more and feel a little more engaged with the shave. The Blutt does that without harshness or any more risk of irritation, for me.

Hope that makes sense. If you are happy with the Diamondback, and the way it feels is what you like, then there’s no advantage to getting the Blutt. It doesn’t shave better than the Diamondback in any way. It’s just a different feel.

Other secondary differences - the Blutt has a very slim head profile and feels nice and nimble - more so than nearly any razor. The Blutt handle is also slim and it’s up to you whether you like a slim or a fatter handle. I’d also say the refinement of the machining and finishing is a bit better with the Blutt, if you attach value to that, though the Paradigm is more than satisfactory.

I use a Timeless Ti Crown with my Blutt BR-1.20. It was the first DE razor that showed me there are some excellent options other than AC razors.

I don’t have a Ti Diamondback with which to compare it, but I’ve been following @Mr. Shavington ’s advice for a couple years now. For me, his suggestions have always been spot on.
