Blutt 1.2 Review - Revealing Comfort

Received a Blutt 1.2 today. Mine has what looks to be a manufacturing mark in the center of the top cap. Does anyone else’s Blutt have this? It’s very faint and the light has to hit the top cap at just the right angle for it to be noticeable. It’s not noticeable in my picture, but the mark runs across the entire top cap and is perfectly centered. It doesn’t bother me, I’m just curious if other Blutts have the mark as well.

Did you buy it used?
Asking because the latest batch doesn't have that mark. Early batches did!
If you go back a few pages in this thread, it's been discussed.

I have mine from the new batch and don't see any marking

First shave with a Blutt 1.2 tonight. Overall impression is that it is a very smooth shaver. Right up there with other smooth razors I’ve used that clamp very close to the cutting edge like the Timeless and Lambda Athena (or a Fatip Piccolo if you’re looking for a less expensive option). The 1.2 was deceptively easy to use once I got the angle right. Very promising start.

Blade: Personna lab blue
Soap: MdC Nature

First shave with the Blutt in awhile. After having used the lupo 58 and the gc 68 for the last week or so, I'm surprised at how much better they feel than the Blutt. Today with the Blutt not as smooth and some general neck irritation... I continue to wonder if blade exposure is an important factor for me? My first two neutral exposure razors (Lambda) didn't really work for me, and the gc and lupo both have much more exaggerated blade exposure compared to the Blutt.

The Blutt is a Swiss wonder, pair it with a Feather for time and again effortless 2-pass BBS for me. If I didn't have a thing for shiny objects this would be the razor. Its light, nimble, sleek, solid, is like a kiss of wind across the face when wielded and the stubble is yesterday's news.
If you have it, you have joined the Nation of Blutt, me says. Its staying put in the collection, and I will gladly take another from someone soon on BST.

Enjoy ze shaves.

Bummer. I was hoping to use a ss Argyle handle from Karve (the one that comes with their original CB razor) but that is 10-32.
What are there? 2 US manufacturers who still use the 10-32 thread? The rest of the world... including all the other US manufacturers have been using the M5 .8mm. It's one reason I've avoided those two manufacturers.... As many people know, I switch handles with quite a few of my razors. <eg>

If we’re not careful something really bad might happen. What if the US and Europe collaborate on a Mars probe and someone mixes up the measurements and millions of dollars get wasted because the probe got too close to the planet and crashed?!?

Oh wait, that already happened. Mars Climate Orbiter - Wikipedia - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_Climate_Orbiter

Absolutely no sarcastic intent towards @Phoenixkh at all. I’m just shocked that in 2025 we don’t have universal standards for things like this. And to think I was expecting flying cars a decade ago 🙄. Even razors were too complicated to standardize on.
