Bluebird blades

Forgot to note that one issue with Bluebirds/Concords is the
not-so-strict QC.It’s not unusual
to find duds and usually it’s not
just a blade or two ,but the whole pack of five. This,or...

I’m almost convinced by now that blades packaged into plastic containers are the ones than most often I’m going to find duds.Maybe the plastic packaging is not so forgiving to blade edges ,like paper is,when
it comes to handling & shipping the product .Bad for the environment ,too .
Excellent evaluation SCh5 , thanks for the insightful info .

I remembered I have a few tucks of this blade and tried it this morning after reading this thread..
All I can say is the blade is good for me...paired with the RR G37 Slant, gave me a smooth and comfortable shave.

Bluebird is a private label made by the same factory that produces the Derby line.
Bluebirds are made by very thin
steel sheet provided by swedish Sandvik .They are not the best blades to install into razors with Merkur-type heads. But where they truly shine is when installed to razors which clamp
the blade close to it’s edges.
Very sharp ,but at the same time very smooth blade. Can last for many 3-pass shaves ,up to 15 shaves to be more exact.
Much better blades than Ustas.

You can find the same blades under another label also : Concord.
Bluebirds and Concords are the exact same blades !

If you like Nacets ,7o’clock Sharp Edge ,Treet Platinum and
Rubies ,most probably you will like Bluebird/Concord blades also.
@SCh5, I know this post was three years ago, but I want to let you know that it was very useful for me just now..!!
I was curious about the Bluebirds, but happen to have a sample pack of Concords at hand. So on your advice I loaded a Concord into my Henson, and had a fantastic shave. Sharp and smooth, as you wrote. Now I am thinking of getting a 100 pack of Concords (had never actually tried them before) / in fact I am debating whether to get a hundred Bluebirds or a hundred Concords ....
I have a question for you:
How do you know what you wrote, about the Bluebirds and the Concords being identical blades...??
You generally seem very well informed about these blades, and I wonder where you find this kind of information.
You meniton the plastic packaging affecting the blades // would you go with 100 X Bluebirds, og Concords ..?
Thank you very much for any additional insights.

I had send an e-mail at the factory that produces them .
Azmusebat in Turkey and they kindly provided all the info I was searching for.

Both ( bluebirds & concords ) come in plastic containers .
At least here.

@SCh5, Thanks again so much for the information you provided on these blades.
In the meantime, I got myself a 100 pack of both Concords and Bluebirds, and I have no regrets. These (both) have quickly become some of my favourite blades. You are absolutely right, they are comparable to Gilette Rubies which is another favourite of mine. Sharp blades, smooth blades, at a good price, lasting for several shaves.
