What's new

Blue. Welcome to my rotation

Wow is my face soft. And that is thanks to My new tube of Proraso Blue .. I can not speak highly enough of it. Best shave of my life. Only about 2 months with a DE , but the verdict is in. Proraso Blue takes the cake. I recently picked up a tube of red, green, and blue.. Been a fan of red and green, but the tube of blue put me into free shipping from bull goose. Man was it a good decision . Great scent. Fresh, a touch cool, and totally void of the soap like smell I hate in some creams. And function is a 10, as I said, best shave of my life. I changed nothing else about my routine. Prep with shower, hot towel, face lather with the BLUE, 3 passes, razo rock alum, witch hazel, capped with Speick .

If u have not tried the blue. U owe it to yourself . I don't see a red or green shave in the near future for me.
You Cannot spend 10 bucks any wiser!!!

I have a tube of the sandlewood that I've used a couple of times with good results. I wondered about the others, I'll have to check shoppers here and see what they offer,

Love the performance of blue but strongly dislike the scent. Smells like a really heavy cologne too me, so far from the reviews I read sounds like you either love it or hate it. Really really like the red, green , and white though. Creams or soaps all very nice and worth the $...

I'm a fan of the Blue. I use it when I've shaved really close the previous day and don't want to risk irritation.

I really like the green, and am thinking of trying the blue. Is there much cooling? The lovely cooling I get from the green(plus that wondeful smell) are the main reasons I'm hesitant to try the other colours.

I too was hesitant. I thought the green to be unbeatable. If this doesn't trump the green, it's a close second. The menthol/ cooling is not as broad as the green. But it's still present. I was surprised to hear a post that didn't like the scent, but different strokes. As a proraso fan myself, I feel I short changed myself by not trying the blue sooner .

maggardrazors.com offers a sample pack of all 4 prosaro creams. I think you get about .25oz of each. Supposed to be enough for 3 shaves. Could be worth trying without having a full tube of the stuff hanging around.

I love all of the Proraso creams but, the Proraso Blue is my very favorite of the three. It really smells good to me and, it seems to provide the best protection during my shaves.

Go Blue!

I have only used the white (tub) so far but have a blue tube en route with two VL horse brushes. I am curious about the scent. I guess the green won't be OK as I don't want too much menthol /eucalyptus. Just a bit, like the white seemed to be perfect for me.

I currently own, use and enjoy all Proraso scents in both soaps and creams, as are available. I, too, prefer the White. With respect to the Blue, I find that the amount of menthol is almost imperceptible, but the scent is by far the strongest and most pronounced. Although I definitely like the Blue, it's comparatively my least favorite Proraso scent.

That lack of menthol is the one thing keeping me away from trying it. I swear I'm addicted to menthol/eucalyptus from Proraso Green. I might need professional help

I truly miss the old formulation of the Green. Despite the SLS, parabens and other various and sundry poisons, the old formula just seemed much cooler and "tingly" than the new version. I really should try some QCS Vostok given its truly frigid reputation.

It's not a face-freezer, but there's still a small but noticeable amount of cooling in the Blue. I actually enjoy the scent of it also.

That would be the Licorice extract that you are feeling and smelling. I agree with you on Proraso Blue ...... good stuff and IMO, a great go between in comparison with the Green and the Red. I love all three.
