Blue Tip Rocket

Just picked this up from the post office today. The wait for the slow boat across the pond seems like an eternity. The paint is worn on the knob, but otherwise it's gorgeous. Here are my usual cell phone shots. One day I will learn how to take pictures

I've seen a few old threads about these but not many. How many do you think are floating around the community?

Nice. I just received a Blue Tip today as well. I've heard it gives a very mild, comfortable shave. I think I have about 7 different Super Speeds.

The Blue Tip is a very nice razor...the op's razor and one discussed here is the Blue Tip Rocket, a rare gem.

i found mine locally and enjoy using it on special occasions and every now and them for fun. It always gives a flawless shave.

I like my Blue Paint fully painted. But when it starts to chip/peel, I will leave it as is and NOT repaint it.

But there is no Blue Tip Rocket made in the USA I believe. So you'll have to settle for a standard blue tip, unless you're lucky.

same here, i bid and won a bad pictured bluetip made in england on ebay, thought i had got the set, when it arrived it was the brit bluetip non rocket version, it was in mint condition as well.

as elmerwood posted, it has to be MADE IN ENGLAND and have the Rocket Gap in the handle (above blue) when closed to be considered a Rocket.

there are Blue Tips made in US and they are most comment. there are also Blue Tips made in England that are NOT Rockets. it gets confusing.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I would like to own a red one some day too. Hopefully it won't be too hard to find. I got lucky with this one as it went mostly unnoticed on ebay.

Be prepared, just a quick look and the last two Ive seen sell on the bay went for over $150.00 each but they were both replated too.
