I know the older reformulations of tallow free Pen's soaps are utter garbage, but has anyone tried the new colored version of it? Or is it a case of Pen's thinking somehow we would be pleased/fooled with removing tallow and adding blue?

I'm not sure, the current version might not even be blue. The current formula is nearly universally hated at B&B so I'm not surprised that there isn't much about it here. I was hoping maybe someone had picked some up recently and could comment what it looks like and if its even remotely useable
I'm also interested in seeing if anyone knows if there's a difference in pucks.
I think they temporarily made their EF and BB pucks stamped with "PENHALIGONS", but have changed back (I guess) to either Blenhiem Bouquet or English Fern. I had one with the "PENHALIGONS" stamp. The color of the puck, however, was not blue, but the typical off-white/cream color. I received this new last October (2011). I emailed a vendor not too long ago about how the current stock of pucks are stamped and was told their stock was now again with the name (Blenheim Bouquet).
