Blotting paper

I know Mark (Strop) started a thread about blotters a while back, but is there anything I can use in place of blotting paper until I put together a goulet order? I am afraid if I use regular printer paper it will smudge the ink instead of absorbing it.
This will not be for a rocker blotter, I will use it to put between the pages of my new traveler's notebook. Thanks!

I've heard that printer paper will suffice... it's pretty absorbent (or absorbative as I like to say). Not sure what the difference is between the two types of paper. Now if you're writing really wet, you may smear no matter what you do.

I don't know very much about blotter paper but I use a paper towel, with my calligraphy nibs, with pretty good results. Maybe a cheaper thinner paper towel for in between pages?

Now half as wise
Dave, I would use some very thick, heavy paper towel. This should be closer tp blotter paper than printer paper. If you can get what we called construction paper when i was in elementary school it may also work.

Best thing is to put in the order!:biggrin1:

I have construction paper for my kids craft projects we do at home. I will try that too until I get an order together.

Good news Mark, they still had and have construction paper and still call it that

Thanks Doug! I like the selection they have, not just boring paper! I also need some ink sacs and Vac diaphragms....
