About the recent threads discussing how well shaving brushes "bloom". Seems everyone likes that.

I chose don't care. Some brushes I think are defined by the bloom, others it doesn't seem to add a thing.
For my most recent example, seeing a Simpsons Emperor 2 bloom is just ok, but seeing a Chubby 1 bloom is amazing. It really defines the name and shape of the brush in the case of the Chubby.

Agree. May favorite badger brushes were the ones that bloomed the least. They were also the most dense.

I'm considering another poll with the same name. The choices would be:
Bloomers ---
- Love 'em
- Leave 'em
- Love 'em AND leave 'em
Agree, though I chose leave 'em. From an aesthetic POV I don't like when a brush blooms a lot, but a little blooming is fine.
Same here, +1 and all that jazz...
IMO - it doesn't matter one way or the other.
If you like the way your brush performs, you'll like the way it looks.

While I prefer brushes that don't bloom a lot (short lofted brushes), I do really love the look of a recently-used brush in bloom.

I do not care. I have had only one badger brush (Shavemac) and it is a bloomer. My boar VDH is not (obviously).
