blades w/Ebay purchase?

I just won a 54 Super Speed on Ebay and I'm really excited. My question is this-it came with a metal box of 20 Gillette Blue Blades that seem new. Are these safe to use or if I use them will I be turned off with my first time DE shave?

Well, unless your a cutthroat fan... Then old blades are great too, after a little honing. But then that doesn't have any bearing on the OP's question.
