Blackland has just announced an updated Osprey with larger numbers on the setting dial and the option of ordering the numbers colored in black for better visibility for an additional charge.

That's awesome, and should help those who have poor eye sight, to see the numbers. Unfortunately, I have the original version, so I won't get that benefit. Good news for me, even though I have poor sight too, at least I can see up close well enough.
Well Blackland is trying to listen to customer input, and revise their product to be better. Nothing new in world of manufacturing, where Generations of same product with small tweak are created to improve basic product.
You can send your razor back to them to have the new dial put on yours if you so choose... I'm sure there will be a fee but I can't say for sure. Drop them an email inquiry to get an idea of what it may or may not cost.
I ordered and received an Osprey from Blackland as soon as it was available. Lovely shaves. I really do love it. Unfortunately, I am one of those who can’t see the shaving level numbers clearly, like you mate.
I decided to paint them to make the numbers clearer. Then, it occurred to me the paint I used might destroy the finish somehow. So I emailed Blackland to ask its advice.
Customer service got back to me to say that the two new types of adjustment mechanisms with clear numbers had just been received. The bloke there offered to send me a new mechanism of my choice - at no charge other than its postage costs to Australia. The only requirement was I send back the old mechanism in the box I received the Osprey in.
I’ve taken up the offer, of course. Once my old mechanism is received, the new one will be on its way.
That truly is remarkable customer service.
