Putting my shaving notes, impressions and opinions regarding the Blackland Razors Ti Blackbird in this thread. I welcome your feedback and comments.
If you have, or have shaved with, the Ti Blackbird, please share your impressions and comments.
First shave:
20210313
Razor: Blackland Razors Ti Blackbird
Blade: Silver Star (3)
Brush: Rudy Vey B&B 2020 Contributors Handle (TNS 24mm Original BOSS)
Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Lather: Vitos Extra Super Coco
Aftershave/Fragrance: Bootlegger's El Dorado
First shave with my new (to me) Blackland Razors Ti Blackbird.
At 54g, the Ti Blackbird is ~1/2 the weight of the Stainless version and it feels like it - a definite difference.
Loaded up a Silver Star, got my lather set and off we go with a nice steep angle.
First off, the Ti Blackbird sings, more than the Stainless or Brass versions. It also has a very intuitive feel. Very natural, and quite nimble, if not quite as maneuverable as the Vector.
Did I mention that the Ti Blackbird is nice and efficient? It is. Cut through my 'barbed wire' very effectively.
I want to take my time and give the Ti Blackbird a proper evaluation over the course of multiple shaves. Also to compare the Ti Blackbird and the Stainless Vector.
Ah, well.....A shaver's work is never done.
More to follow.
