Blackfoot Hits 25,000

Yes, you've heard right. Blackfoot has hit 25,000 posts here on the B&B. Congratulations on your posting milestone! :thumbup1:

Nice work! 25,000 makes my had spin  I wonder what is "posts per day" is like? 100?

Well, it's not that simple because in practice you won't actually post each day. Let's start with 365 posting days available in a year.

  • There are 52 weeks per year in which you won't post on the weekend so that 2 days not available, leaving 261 days available for posting.
  • Since you spend 16 hours either working and sleeping, you have used up 170 days, leaving only 91 days available for posting.
  • Typically, you'll spend over 60 minutes each day in the bathroom shaving or going to bathroom, which is a surprising 23 days each year, leaving only 68 days available.
  • You'll spend some time eating, at least a 1 hour lunch each day, so you used up another 46 days, leaving only 22 days available for posting.
  • Factoring in a couple of sick days, maybe 2 days per year on sick leave. This leaves you only 20 days per year available for posting.
  • Holiday activities will preclude posting, so let's say 5 per year, so your available posting availability is down to 15 days.
  • With a typical 14 days vacation per year which leaves only 1 day available for posting.
So realistically he probably posted over 25,000 posts in a single day. So there you have it.

You forgot to multiply it by pi and take the second derivative.

That's awesome, Blake! Congratulations! And all great posts, too! :thumbup1:

Well, actually, I would like to talk to you about your posts #13,678 and #21,284. I'm wondering if those should be included in your post count since they were just quotes with no significant addition to the original post on your part.

Maybe we should hold off on the celebration a bit?

What kind of maniac makes 25,000 posts on a forum?

I have no idea. I can't even think straight trying to cope with the fact that the Great Ouch has fallen to a James Bond Wanna Be. :crying:

(It must be the limitations caused by having only 3 lights with which to communicate.)
