Black Hills hiking?

Are there any folks around here that have done any hiking or even SxS riding in the Black Hills.

I have been a regular visitor of the Hills for years but starting to do more day hikes.

Did Harney Peak/Black Elk MTN this weekend.

Looking forward to next spring to try another hike.

The last time the wife and I were out there, I REALLY wanted to hike around. We took a drive into the switchbacks in the National Forest to hook up with The Needles. Every time we stopped to look around, I just wanted to "go", but my Spidey Sense got the better of me. You need a GPS or a compass in the rugged terrain; even a short jaunt robs you of any visual reference points.

Darn it! Now you've got me all curious and antsy to go out there again!

Don
