I have dabbled in synthetic brushes here and there but none have really wowed me.
But suddenly, a humble little black fiber synthetic has taken me by surprise. It came as part of a Napa Soap Company soap set. The tips are super soft but the backbone is moderately firm. It has made great lather from everything from Castle Forbes through Arko, tallow soaps and vegan soaps, creams, croaps and even triple milled hard soaps. It is equally effective in face lathering and bowl lathering. It's small, requires no soak time, and dries quickly making it a great travel brush for me.
Now I'm on the hunt for the best possible black fiber synthetic for the dual role of face and bowl lathering.
Any specific suggestions?
