I recently noticed there is a Black Blade feather...I see they are less expensive...Can anyone tell me the difference between these and the "original" feather??

Do you mean the blade it self is black or that the packaging is black?
If the blade itself is black, it is crap. No good for shaving. It is made from carbon steel (not stainless) and the edge is not coated like the Feather Hi-Stainless Platinum blades are. Trust me it will feel like you are shaving with broken glass.
If it is the packaging, as long as it is stainless it should be just fine.
