It would be fun to have a like new Gillette which is as old as you are or at least VERY close to your age. But here is the thing, some of us have to decide what they actually are looking for - a Gillette which WAS manufactures as close as possible to their birth date OR a Gillette which MIGHT be manufactured on their birth date. For example I was born in early January 1959. Gillettes marked E1 might be manufactured on my birthday! But... a D4 Gillette could be much closer to my birth date despite it was manufactured in 1958! I am sure most of us are more attached to their birth quarters or just birth years than the fact a razor could be as close to their actual age as possible. Just a thought which visited me the other day when I was thinking about picking up a NOS FatBoy ... a E1 of course.
