Big Fellow Big Boy Parade

Ok, I've cleaned up the silver one, and decided to take a picture of it next to a gold Big Fellow, that I had, buried in my stash.
Upon standing then up, side by side, I noticed the Silver one is taller than the Gold one. I also noticed the handles are slightly different.
The silver one has a larger smooth portion of the handle, above and below the Knurled handle. Did they vary some?

Ahaa, I guess the silver one is an Old Type, and the gold New Improved Big Fellow. Thanks for the help, Edgar. nuclearblast

Doesn't look like anyone has posted here in a while. Well a couple of weeks ago I got a great deal on a Big Fellow. So I picked it up. I believe it is a 1926...and comes with an original (I think) gum wood box. I am unsure if this is the original plating or if it was re-plated, either way...she's a beaut!

Beautiful razor Don! And that box is something I miss with todays razors (Jurgen doesn't count, he's too exclusive).

That is only the 3rd Gold Old Type I have seen. I believe @782sirbrian has a 1920 and I have a 1920. I am sure there are more just have not seen them.

That's right I have a 1920 Gold Old Type (and also a 1925 Gold New Improved) :001_smile
I've also got myself a cased Chromium Big Boy since my photos earlier on in this thread.

"Look what I found"
Bump for a parade
A find today at a antique store. Have not been there in a while so time to stop. The case was closed inside a display showcase, asked to see it, and they asked me " you want to see the cigarette case". Opened it up and found a 1930 New Big Boy Chromium De Luxe. As a added bonus the blade bank contained original 1930 Deluxe blades. The razor is in low milage condition, Very clean, no plate loss and the knurling is sharp.

Very nice! One of my favorites!
I didn’t know there was a parade. Here’s my entry. 1929.

Besides the Kroman blades, the knob lacks the rings. Double rare set?

I don't know, this is the first I see. More precisely this is the first three piece Gillette, I know of, that doesn't have the bands.
