BIC brand DE blades

I did a search here on the forum but did not find anything on them. Is there anyone who has used them that can tell me about them?

I hope you are talking about the Greek Made Chrome Platinums in the yellow boxes. If so, here is the review.

These are my go to blades. Sharp, smooth and they last for about 3 shaving sessions (tho I change blades after 2 sessions). Cheap also on my part as they come up to about RM33 per box of 100 blades. (about USD 9.35). No idea how these stack up against the Gillette Swede (the BIC's have been called the 'poor man's Swede) but they definitely shave better (as in sharpness and smoothness) compared to a Russian made Gillette Green 7'O clocks.

Hope this helps. Just a note that the search facility in B&B cannot process anything less than 4 characters. Probably the reason why nothing turned up when you searched 'BIC'.

Thank you for the info... It does seem on that link that most liked them or hated them.

yeah, it is strange. But I've only tried like 8-10 brands of blades and the only thing I rate higher than these are Kai Blades. But those are kinda hard to come by in the place where I live so the BIC's are good enough for me I guess

On my last trip to Santorini I picked up some blades made by Bic but carrying a different name. They were quit good.

Were they the red pack Astors?

As far as the yellow pack Chrome Platinums, I get two really nice shaves. Sharp and smooth, just not long lasting.

I like them, but they are very razor sensitive in my experience. For example, in my Futur, they are rough to shave with. In my HD they are great. YMMV.

Not my go to blade, but a good blade none the less. Decently sharp and smooth. One is currently loaded in my HD and I have about 80+ in my den.
