I got mine through NTGuys on eBay for around $63 for 200 (20 - ten packs)... I've heard you can PM them for a better price though through B&B (I think they have the same name here).
There is also a few other guys who sell bulk packages of blades on B&B, but cannot remember their profile name...
I bought my Feather blades (yellow packaging) from John at West Coast Shaving. They came in sealed and plastic wrapped packages of 10 blades each, which includes a compartment for the disposal of used blades. While this may not be the most environmentally friendly packaging (as opposed to bulk packaging), it makes for great convenience in use and storage. West Coast Shaving's price beat every other seller for my 300 blade purchase. You can find John at www.westcoastshaving.com. He's great to deal with and is now my prime source for everything related to wet shaving.
West Coast Shaving included shipping by First Class Mail in their quotation to me. The shipping notice (including the USPS Delivery Confirmation Number) showed that they had shipped by Priority Mail. Now, unlike a certain other vendor in NYS who shall remain nameless, that's what I call service with a smile.
I paid less than $81.00 for the 300 Feather blades from West Coast Shaving. That included shipping via USPS Priority Mail. I received thirty sealed plastic packs of ten blades each. Each plastic pack contains a blade removal side and a blade disposal side. All of the thirty packs were from the same lot number as my test pack of ten.
I am easily getting five days use out of each Feather blade. The fifth day's shave is just about as good as day one. Given my cost, I figure that I can well afford to discard each blade after five days of use and not try to stretch it. Having a good comfortable shave is more important to me than testing the blade's longevity.
At five days per Feather blade, I won't be back in the blade buying market for about four years. By the way, I am storing the Feather blades in my bedroom night table so as to avoid any risk of bathroom humidity damage over time. It's not much of a risk since each 10-pack is sealed in plastic wrap.
If you can find an equal or better price from anyone else, contact John at West Coast Shaving. In my case, he beat the best alternative price by 5%.
Can someone direct me to some information about different "versions" of Feather. I have been enjoying the Feathers in the yellow packaging -- enough to consider them my regular blade, but I didn't know there were multiple models or versions out there. Thanks.
I was just reading about the Feathers with the black packaging, and learned that they are somewhat less expensive and somewhat lower in quality. (There are not the ones I'm selling. I have NOS that were almost certainly made way before the black packaged ones existed.)
Just received 10 pks of 10 "yellow label" Feather blades. Purchased thru B&B member Aneurysm. The blades shipped from Singapore and arrived within 10 days of delivering payment via PayPal. Original packaging, genuine article, no catch. I've never posted on B&B before, but I'm impressed enough to take the time recommend him.
AT $81 for 300 blades that comes to about .26 cents per blade, at this price I had to check the web site but did not find said deal so I sent an e-mail to ask about it, on a Sunday afternoon, a mear 2-3 hours after I sent the e-mail I received a reply that this bulk price has just gone official and to get the deal just put three hundred blades in your cart, when prompted to enter a coupon code enter "feather80". It works like a charm, and now I have a great supply of my new favorite blade. Oh and its free shipping with all orders over $80.
