Best Hair product that does not break out

Howdy!

I have used brylcreem, groom and clean, and Pinaud Clubman and Paul Mitchell Barbershop Scent. Each one I have tried with the exception of the Mitchell (I've only used once) I always break out in pimples especially with G&C and Brylcreem. I just started using Clubman and I break out but very very little. It does leave my scalp alittle itchy.

Are there any good hair products you all can recommend I try?

Best,
Jerry

Check out Grooming Lounge's hair products. I tend to break out on my scalp with most products, too. Not so with GL's 'Some Hair Goop' though.

I don't have that problem, but I use Suavicito and Imperial's Matte Pomade. I like both of them for their own respective properties. They're both water based and wash out easily with water.

I noticed the clubman styling gel has wheat in it. Could it just be that that its low humidity causing my scalp to itch?

One thing is if you're using too much product, or really rubbing it into your scalp when you style your hair. If neither of those apply to you, then perhaps it could be an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients.

Here's some info that might be useful!

If you clog pours with anything, they will produce natural oil to fight it. Which most likely cause you discomfort.
You can try adding little by little each day, and not washing your hair as much. Slowly your scalp will get use to it, unless your scalp dosnt like an ingredient

Also, a good water based product is Let's Jam!. Its for ethnic hair, and found it no different then most water based pomades. they have three different hold types. I use the regular hold (green jar) which has a nice mango smell. It's sold almost anywhere pretty cheap.

I use Woody's Pomade, nice stuff. Look at the ingredients on your products and avoid anything with silicone or mineral oil, they can both clog pores and lead to break outs around the hair line.

@gearoid

i do have some woodys. I will use that because the Groom and Clean and Bryclreeem both have mineral oil in them. What woodys product do you recommend? Is there something that had a high shine and light hold?

Also a Woody's user. You're looking for their pomade. (Green/ clear in color).
