I bought recently, two or three tubs arko, proraso and a block of Cella. I mixed some together and pressed the glorious mix into a small cereal bowl, almost to the brim. Soak badger brush and squeeze water over the soap. Whisk as if you are making lather in a bowl until you feel it thickening on the brush. A lot of excess foam at first which I cover my face. It's almost a Marco method . Then without rinsing face, face lather to your hearts content. It's such a luxurious, creamy lather that you won't want to use anything else. It sounds like you are using a lot of soap, but after a week, the bowl had barely reduced. The scent of arko is tamed as the bowl is left uncovered.

It really beats MDC, SV AND similar. And as it's cheap, you can use loads for a great cheap shave.
I'm picturing a mentholated Christmas cookie with lemon & citronella frosting.
