Best brush for soaps

I have a large Vulfix brush and until recently used creams almost exclusively. I recently purchased both Tabac And MB soaps and I don't think the Vulfix is as stiff as I may like it to use with SS. Does anyone have a brush that is their go to for shaving soaps? Or is it my technique and should I just stay with the Vulfix?

High quality boar can be very good for soaps from what I've heard. It's not that expensive either.

The best for soap IMO is the Rooney Finest (Mucho $$$ & becoming hard to find) Simpsons in Best Badger work bery well with soap and you might want to consider the group buy of the Simpson Eagle in Best Badger, a one of a kind soap raptor

Is it too late to get the Eagle?

I've found that just about any brush from just about any manufacturer has worked for me when using soaps. Don't try to rationalize that you need a better brush for soap, just go ahead and buy one anyway.

I like the Rooney style 1, size 1. Mine is Super Badger. I see no reason to pay more for Finest (but I understand why others do go for that). If I had to do it over I might try Best instead of Super. This is based on a fairly stiff, and perhaps fairly characterized as "skritchy", Semogue 620 boar brush also being a favorite.

I face-lather and smaller, shorter-loft, brushes seem to be better for that. They are easier to maneuver around the face and hold all the lather I need. On top of that, they are cheaper, but that was just an unanticipated bonus for me as I hunted around for a brush I liked.

simpsons two band super in a 20-22 mm knot would be perfect for soaps. i love my grosvenor le for soaps. you could get a chubby 1, pj 2, tulip 2, etc.

I have a Vulfix 2235. You cannot find a much floppier brush and I can lather soap with it just fine, just lucky I guess.
Still, if a guy needs a new brush he needs a new brush. I think the best soap brush I have used is the Ehsan but the Simpson's Colonel should work nearly as well. If you want to spend a little less money, I think the Simpson's Special is very good.
